Journal of the Korean Society of Food Science and Nutrition (JKFN; J Korean Soc Food Sci Nutr) is the official journal published and distributed monthly by the Korean Society of Food Science and Nutrition (KFN). Manuscripts submitted to this journal (i.e. JKFN) must be unpublished and should not be under consideration for the publication elsewhere.
Authorship provides credit for a researcher’s contributions to a study and carries accountability.

All authors should agree all of the contents including the author list. The corresponding author is responsible for (1) ensuring that all authors have agreed to all of the contents and have approved the submission of the manuscript to this journal, and (2) managing all communication of authors with the journal before/after publication. After publication, the corresponding author is the point of contact for queries about the published paper.
Changes in authorship (e.g. the order of the authors, the addition or deletion of authors, etc.) after the submission of the manuscript should be approved by the approval by all authors. Any changes in authorship can only be allowed before the acceptance of the publication.
In order for KFN to publish research articles, KFN should maintain the ownerwhip and needs publishing rights. This is determined by a publishing agreement between the authors and KFN. This agreement deals with the transfer or license of the copyright to KFN and authors retain significant rights to use and share their own published articles.

Definition of the competing interests (i.e. the potential source of conflict of interests) can be defined as follows: financial and non-financial interests that could directly undermine, or be perceived to undermine the objectivity, integrity and value of a publication, through a potential influence on the judgments and actions of authors with regard to objective data presentation, analysis and interpretation. If there is no competing interest, authors should state as “The authors declare no competing interests.” in the manuscript. If any competing interests exist, the statement regarding the competing interests (e.g. The authors declare the existence of following competing interests: ~) in the manuscript during the submission.
